Happy New Year to you all! I thought I would start the month of January off with a share of sorts. A high quality one.
John and I were able to sit down and watch this last night. It pretty much rocked our world. Do yourself a favor– allow yourself the twenty minutes or so to view this video on how trust works. It is all about BRAVING, people. Boundaries. Reliability. Accountability. Vault. Integrity. Non-judgement. Generosity. Check it out!
So tell me, will you? How many people in your life have your full trust? Is it helpful for you to break down the idea of trust into more concrete categories? Are there categories that hold more weight for you than others? Which ones? Feel free to share in the comments section below.
My first thought … this may help me understand … shed some light … considering my experiences … being a “recipient” of violations of “sacred” trust. Thank you for posting this. This Brene Brown “Super Soul Session” I embrace as validation by proxy that I am worthy of not being treated like chattel ecclesiastically (or otherwise). My “marble jar” seemed quite full before … until violation of sacred trust, debased for asking for help, additions to the already painful violations…. subjugated for which marbles deftly plucked out and not one marble could be added to my jar; the empty jar encouraged by ecclesiastical trustees and the community. My transitioning is the process of filling my marble jar.
Margi, thank you so much for sharing this! I loved the video and learned a lot, particularly I feel inspired on how to foster more trust by respecting other people’s stories.
Love, this. Thank you, Margi. <3
Thank you for sharing this Margi!
Love Brene Brown! Thank you for posting Margi and introducing Dr. Brown to the Mormon Transitions community! I highly recommend her books, The Gifts of Imperfection and Daring Greatly.
I feel like I need to listen to this over and over to fully absorb it. So much food for thought.
